Erica Hurst is a senior at Buffalo Island Central, and third year journalism staff member.  For her last year at BIC she decided to take on the challenge of also being yearbook editor.  One of her favorite things about journalism is the creative outlet that it provides for her. As someone who views herself as a “perfectionist,” she always strives to excel at any and everything she is involved in.  One of her proudest achievements is going to Communication’s Day at Arkansas State University and winning the award for Sports Writing, beating all of the other competitors in that category, boys and girls alike. In the future she hopes to go to college and either continue pursuing journalism or study in a field where she can communicate and connect with people.
