Due to the the winter weather and school cancellation during the junior high homecoming week, both homecomings were combined and will be held this week, with ceremonies to take place during Friday night’s games.

Because of the difference in themes, both Student Council sponsors Mrs. Mandy McFall and Mrs. Nancy Spencer had to incorporate both homecoming themes for the ceremonies.

“We have discussed decorations and how we can mix and match what both councils have worked on so far,“ Spencer said.

The high school homecoming days have remained the same but the junior high days have changed due to the original week having only four days. New days were added to complete the week.

Both ceremonies announcing the homecoming princesses and queens will be held at the MAC during the same night.

“I think having them together is a great start to the traditions that the school will soon have with junior and senior high being in the same building,” Student Council president Blaire Wildy said.

The junior high homecoming ceremony will be at 6 p.m. before the junior high game. The senior high ceremony will be held between the junior and senior games.

”We are confident that the Councils together can create something that both student bodies will be proud of,” Spencer said.
