On Thursday, Jan. 14, the Lady Mustangs played Riverside Rebels. By the end of the first half, Mustangs were up by 10. The game didn’t get crazy until the second half.

Riverside’s fans had become very vocal during this half as well. Their coach had received two technicals and was even asked to leave the gym along with two other Riverside fans. “It was an exciting game, and it was funny watching the expression on Parker’s face when she realized she had been bit,” Coach Fowler stated.
Only two players had fouled out. Those players were Hayley Parker and Jamie Harris. The ending score was 75-55. Brittany Fowler scored 26 points, Holly Dempsey scored 18, Jenna Pike scored 15, Shelby Qualls scored 11, Taylor Owens scored three and Whitlee Rolland scored two. “We definitely put the Rebels away. The following night was homecoming, the Mustangs played the Rebels as well. Nothing out of the ordinary happened during this game. “With it being homecoming night, I could feel the tension, but the game itself was really good,” Calvin Wallace, junior, stated.
