“I really like getting dressed up and I just like to do them for fun. A pretty big pageant moment for me was when I got top 5 in the Miss NEA pageant last year, I was really happy. I picked the dress I wore for Miss BIC because it was very poofy and the gems and bows really stuck out to me, I felt like it was really in style for this year. I started in 3rd grade when I watched Savannah Howard compete in Miss BIC and I knew I wanted to be like her. I would have to say smiling the whole time is a pretty hard part of pageants, and also having to walk out in front of all those people is a pretty hard part but also losing is definitely a hard part about pageants. I always feel nervous right before I walk out because everyone is watching me and it’s so many people. But I just feel that people should just have fun with the pageants and not care who’s out there and be yourself.”
