“It is very difficult for me to pinpoint my best memory as a teacher, but it makes me happy to see a student who’s struggling be able to turn things around. It is great to see a student realize that hard work eventually pays off, and that they get what they put in to something. There is so much to be learned from history. One of my biggest struggles as a teacher is getting students to realize that learning history is more than just memorizing dates and places. The events of the past have shaped our world into what it is today. Learning the history of a situation is key to understanding the situation itself. There are so many valuable lessons to be learned from the past. I can’t imagine having any other career or teaching at another school. I love being a Mustang and that my children are growing up as Mustangs as well.”
