“It was kind of a difficult process for me and Olevia. We were going to do the other fish game. We were going to be Vicky and Timmy, but we didn’t think that being Vicky and Timmy was a good idea because we didn’t think kids would get who we were. Her mom came up with the idea of being a ringmaster and a clown because we are doing a ring toss. We thought that’d be a good combination. We are piecing together what we have. I’m using some stuff of my mom’s and Olevia is making her own tutu & using face paint. I hope that everything just comes together.” – Nikki Gordon

“I am going as a soccer player. I chose to be a soccer player because it’s something that I’m really passionate about, something that I’ve always enjoyed doing in my life. Well it’s just really an easy costume that I can put together considering I have the cleats, socks and the jersey tops. So that’s really why I’m going as a soccer player.” – Alex Talavera

“Well, nobody really does pinata costumes.  They are not really popular, so we kind of did it to stand out and be different. It is not meant to make fun of that culture. It is just a costume and is not meant to make fun of anyone.  It is just supposed to be for fun.” –Kaytie Castanon

“I’m going to be a Ninja Turtle for Fall Festival because I’ve always liked the Ninja Turtles, and they were like my favorite cartoon as a kid. I’m dressing up as Michelangelo, and he’s the goofy one. I think that I match his personality because I’m pretty goofy, and I like to goof around a lot.” –Samantha Gipson

“Shyla and I were put together in Student Council to be partners for the elementary fall festival. We were having trouble deciding what to dress up as for our game. Our game is to have the kids throw balls at stacked cans on a table and knock them down. So we were thinking of something that they could relate to and would be cute. Then we had the idea of Mario and Luigi, because they get the Fire Flower to throw fireballs at the enemy. We also wanted something cheap and easy to do, so we looked on pinterest for DIY Mario and Luigi costumes. That’s where we got the Idea to wear jeans with green and red shirts, and the hats and mustache.” –Jessica Krob

“I am going to be Cosmo from the show ‘The Fairly Oddparents.’ Me and Hannah Harrell thought Cosmo and Wanda would be funny, since our game is fish-related and the characters turn into fish. We also thought it’d be fun to add a “Da Rules” book and other ‘Fairly Oddparents’-related paraphernalia.” –Drew McFall

“I was partnered with Nikki. She was a ringmaster and I was a clown. Our game was the ring toss. It was actually my mom’s idea because we thought we were going to be Vicki and Timmy Turner, but no one thought the kids would know who we were, so we just decided to be a ringmaster and a clown.” –Olevia Hughes

“Blaire suggested the costume idea to me, and I thought it would be funny. I have a goofy personality, so I think it was a good fit.” -Heather Sipes
