Fat City gets high marks for food, service

ALLIE GRISHAM – Hoof Prints Staff
After being first reviewed by the Hoof Prints staff in 2003, Fat City Sports Bar and Grill received a less than stellar assessment. However, in 2009 Fat City in Jonesboro deserves, in my opinion, an A+.

My party arrived later in the evening, around 8 p.m., and there was not a large crowd. The host was most congenial and greeted us at the door. We had a split party, with three members having already been seated, but the host seemed to know where we belonged and seated us with a smile.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the atmosphere. It was very clean and our waitress, along with the other staff members we encountered, was extremely fun and friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger with seasoned fries and water.

My entire meal came to a grand total of $ 6.98 after the student discount. My party also agreed that their meals and the accompanying prices were wonderful, “especially the sirloin tips,” stated a fellow diner.

In the previous review, the issue was not with the food quality, but the length of time it took the reviewer to receive her meal. However, the service, atmosphere, food, and dining experience as a whole were great and deserving of an A+ review.
