BIC Wins Big at FBLA Conference

Chloe Pierce, Writer

The BIC chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America earned lots of bragging rights after competing in this year’s District Conference.  Upon returning from the conference, nine students earned awards in various categories, the majority of which were Juniors. These achievements save our winners a spot in the FBLA State Conference, to be held in Hot Springs this spring.

The following Juniors won awards:  Lilie Hatch, Lexa Whitley, and Haleigh Jackson were awarded second place in Graphic Design;  Harris McCord was awarded third place in the Job Interview category; Drake Mitchell was awarded third place in Insurance and Risk Management;  Payton Spencer was awarded third place in Accounting II; Dylan Stewart was awarded sixth in AgBusiness.

Two Seniors also placed. Katie Fletcher  was awarded second place in Network Concepts, and Conner McCord was awarded third place in the Future Business Leader category.

Congratulations to each of these students on their immense success. The BIC FBLA chapter  hopes to accomplish even more at next year’s conference.
