Behind every successful student is a teacher that shaped them into who they are.  BIC has several great teachers, including our newest arrival, Ms. Taylen Smith.

Ms. Smith grew up in Manila, Arkansas.  She went to Arkansas Northeastern College for her first two years, then transferred to Arkansas State University for her last two.

She always knew that she wanted to work with kids, but it wasn’t until after completing Composition II during her sophomore year in college that she realized she wanted to be an English teacher.

She has a German Shepherd named Wren.  Her favorite books are Lord of the Flies by William Golding and In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, which she reads with her students in class to share her love of literature.

BIC is lucky to have such a qualified and passionate teacher like Ms. Smith.  We hope she enjoys our school as much as our students enjoy her class.
