BIC students “pinked out” the school on October 6th to show support for breast cancer survivors. Students dressed head to toe in pink to raise awareness for breast cancer, and also bought ribbons to raise money  to support women battling breast cancer and bring awareness to the disease.

“I believe Pink Out is so important because breast cancer wreaks havoc on the lives of so many people. The goal of Pink Out is to raise money to support women battling breast cancer and bring awareness to the disease.  It is so important to be aware of this disease because early detection saves lives.” said BIC teacher, Mrs. Julie Reeves.

Awards were given to the students with the top three outfits worn that day. These winners were, Silas White, Dawson Smith, and Addison Hawkins.

“ I went all out for Pink Out because I felt that I had to be the best and support the most,” said Freshman Silas White.

As of now, BIC has  raised $108 and we are hoping to see that amount grow.
