The senior high Quiz Bowl team attended the Regional Tournament on March 9th in Cotter, Arkansas. The tournament consisted of five other competing teams.  The team finished the day with a good 2-2 win/loss ratio and fought hard for a third place victory at Regionals. This means the team earned an automatic pass to the State Tournament, which they will compete in next month.

Team captain, Conner McCord, was awarded for his impressive performance, earning him the distinction of “All Tournament.”  He earned this distinction by answering an average of five questions per game.

“When I go out there, I’m just trying to do my best and hope to get All-Tournament.  Just being on the All Tournament team is an honor. All those hours of watching History Channel paid off,” said McCord.

The team hopes to continue their successful season by securing a victory at the State Tournament, which will be held at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas on April 13th.
