On Feb. 27, the high school Quiz Bowl team attended the Arkansas Northeastern College Invitational Tournament. The team came in fourth out of nine teams present. They competed with schools from different divisions, including Jonesboro and Greene County Tech.

The competition began at 9:00am and lasted until 3:00pm. The team’s first opponents were Riverside, Crowley’s Ridge Academy, and Gosnell. The team remained undefeated throughout the first three games of the tournament. After the first half, the high school Quiz Bowl team was ranked number one in the tournament.

After lunch, the team played Greene County Tech and received their first lost. They went on to play Jonesboro to see which team received third and fourth place.

“It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait till our next competition,” said Katherine Clowers, team member.

The high school team will compete Saturday, March 13. If the team ranks in the top four, the students will advance to state competition.
