Cheerleader Callyn Bird dons orange face paint and ribbons in memory of classmate Noah Cook who died on Nov. 15. Noah had been battling leukemia for over a year and died as a result of injuries he received in a car accident on the way to St. Jude for treatment. In the wake of his death, students formed a club called For Noah, Our Hero to honor his memory through service projects for St. Jude. The club kicked off their fundraising efforts at Friday’s basketball game with a three-point shootout, face painting and ribbon distribution. They raised over $1,500 during the evening to send to St. Jude in Noah’s name.
