The journalism staff earned several awards at the Arkansas State University Communications Day held on Saturday, March 5. The staff was named first runner-up in the sweepstakes competition as well as Hoof Prints being named top online publication.

Individual contest winners were Cadyn Qualls – first place in news writing and third place in feature writing; Stephanie Atchley – first place in feature writing and third place in news writing; Kensie Walker – second place in editorial writing and honorable mention in photography; Shyla Clayton – second place in photography and third in editorial writing; and Camden Metheny – honorable mention in photography and editorial writing.
