“There is no other feeling like participating in a pageant. Getting to hear all the judges talk about me and being in the spotlight is a feeling I can’t get anywhere else. However it wasn’t always my thing. I started participating in pageants when I was in kindergarten through 2nd grade. I didn’t like it, but my family pushed me to participate again. I started participating in pageants again in 6th grade until now, and I plan to continue participating in them until I graduate. I can’t thank my family enough for pushing me to participate in pageants again because now I can really see the beauty of pageants. Pageants are a time where every girl can feel special. I believe that  is the reason why I like doing pageants. Participating in pageants in itself makes you feel good but winning was out of this world. I was really excited but also didn’t know how to react when they announced that I was the winner. I look forward to participating in next year’s pageant, because it will be my first time participating in the senior high pageant.”
