Daniel Carmichael belts out the classic Dolly Parton song, “Jolene” during the Homecoming talent show. Carmichael came up with the act the day before the show at the urging of his journalism classmates. He managed to learn the lyrics by listening to the song repeatedly that night, and his efforts paid off when he was awarded first place in the lip sync division.
