This Halloween season, a new store opened, Spirit Halloween. It has been said that this store is the place to go for Halloween costumes and decorations. There has been a lot of talk about this new store, but can it live up to the hype?

Last Monday, I went to Spirit Halloween. Immediately as I walked through the door, I was shocked. There were costumes galore. Their selection was large; they carried costumes for every age and taste. The employees stated that there were around 500 costumes.

They also had the largest selection of Halloween decorations that I have ever seen. There were hundreds of decorations. They carried large items, such as witches, mummies and tombstones, and small items, such as spider webs, tiny spiders and stickers. If you want to decorate for Halloween, I recommend you come here.

Spirit Halloween even offers tons of accessories. They have every item needed to make a costume look real. They offer about 20 types of teeth, as well as over 30 types of makeup and hair color.

Aside from having a large selection, they had fair prices. They had their decorations marked down, and the prices of costumes and accessories were comparable to other Halloween stores.

Compared to Golden Grotto, I would say that Spirit Halloween is the place to go for all your Halloween items. They had a larger selection of costumes, accessories and decorations.

You better get all you can while it lasts because the store’s future is uncertain. They know for sure that they will close Oct. 31, but they don’t know if they will be back next year. “It all depends on how well we do,” an employee stated.

I say “Yay” to Spirit Halloween. The store is located at 2016 S. Caraway Road, Jonesboro, in the old Stein Mart building.
